The End of a Year
So, we almost had a white christmas. It snowed nicely a few days before and stuck around a bit. It apparently wreaked havoc on the public transportation system, but since I walk everywhere and the trams were working just fine in Rdm, it didn't affect me at all. (The stoptrain was also working far enough for pommie to goto work.)

So the trip mostly consisted of:
-watching Doctor Who (I'm now on S4 of the new series)
-watching The Tudors (only on ep 5 though)
-watched Top Gear - the Bolivia special was awesome
-watched Charlie Boorman's By Any Means - Sydney to Tokyo (wasn't as good as the first series)
-watched Up (which was very cute and another Pixar success), Crank 2 (really weird action movie, but Jason Statham always looks cool running around shooting people), Knut & Friends (nice little documentary), Grim Fandango (it's a game, but we watched the playthrough)
-finishing World of Goo, very cute and fun game,
-playing Lego Star Wars complete (mostly the 1st trilogy was revamped, which was nice)
-played through Braid - a very weird, but neat little game, kind of SNES style.
-watched pommie play a bunch of Tomb Raider: Underworld, Defence Grid, some Mirrors and Portal.
-a lot of cross stitching. I am getting close to completing the regular stitching of my big project.

We spent Christmas with his whole family which was really nice, because we rarely ever have the whole family together. Pommie's parents also bought me a couple books, one of which is a self-study Dutch book, so maybe I'll learn some more Dutch. Pommie gave me the rest of the Octonauts books (made by Meomi, the designers of the 2010 Olympic mascots)

I also very briefly visited my mom's seamstress friend, and met up with Kary and met his new gf (now fiance) one evening. We also visited pommie's grandma with his dad. We also played MJ again with T and D, and finally got through an entire game!

Finally, New Year's was dinner with his parents and then oliebollen with apples and raisins in them! so good~ Also some snackies and playing with the kitties, watching Knut & Friends, followed by 40 mins of non-stop fireworks all over the city. Their new year's is so awesome, there's no way vc's new year can beat that.

Been semi-sick and staying in the house since I got back. Mostly sitting at home doing more cross stitch while watching Doctor Who. I swear it's the plane ride that kills me.
